Cheap Gas?

Where's the cheapest gas?

Gasoline prices continued their steady march up Friday, setting yet another record in Santa Rosa at an average $3.53 a gallon, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.

So where’s the cheapest gas around?

Costco in Rohnert Park was reporting $3.35 a gallon, while gasbuddy.com listed the Arco station at Hearn and Corby avenues as the lowest in Santa Rosa at $3.37.

For Santa Rosa, the Arco station at Fourth and Brookwood avenues was next at $3.39, according to gasbuddy.com, while Costco reported $3.39.

Gasbuddy.com is a Web site that draws from a network of 179 gas information Web sites to find the cheapest gas.

A week ago, the average price in Santa Rosa hit $3.45, exceeding the previous record of $3.44 set in May 2007.

Friday’s average price is 62 cents more than a year ago this date, and 33 cents more than a month ago

Experts expect gas prices to rise to about $3.80 a gallon by Memorial Day.

Gas at Rotten Robbie and Valero, both in Rohnert Park on corners of Southwest Blvd. and College View is at $3.43 as of this morning, March 7.
