"CRUSH," a documentary film presented and sponsored by Don Sebastiani & Sons of Sonoma won the top award for short films at the 2008 Oenovideo International Grape and Wine Film Festival in Gruissan, France. The short film documented the Sebastiani and Sons 2006 harvest and first debuted at the 2007 Sonoma Valley Film Festival.
The filmmaker Bret Lyman of B. Napa Studio and Don Sebastiani and Sons cooperated on the project. Competing with 84 other wine documentaries from France and the U.S., it was awarded the "Trophee Special" for films less than 20 minutes long.
Some of Lyman's short films are featured on the Sebastiani & Sons web site at www.donandsons.com. Lyman will receive the award on September 10 in a special ceremony at the French Senate building at the Palais du Luxembourg in Paris.
